Exporting European cleantech solutions to China and the United States: ICN consortium wins COSME grant

On the 16 August 2017, it was announced that a consortium consisting of five members of the International Cleantech Network (ICN) had won a substantial grant from the European Commission for the “COSME Go International” project. The project stretches over a two-year period with the objective of facilitating European cleantech SMEs in the export of sustainable solutions to China and the United States with the support of cleantech clusters.

Together with the ICN Secretariat in Copenhagen, the five clusters from Austria (Greentech Cluster), Belgium (TWEED), Denmark (CLEAN), France (Tenerrdis) and Sweden (Sustainable Business Hub) will now initiate the planning of matchmaking missions and engage with local SMEs and corporate buyers in the target countries. To sum up, the funding from the COSME grant will help deliver one of the main objectives of the ICN internationalisation strategy aiming to enhance global business development in the green economy.
