ICN Opportunity: Meet the Buyer event in Copenhagen

March 14, 2017 @ 12:00 am - 4:00 pm

Establishment of an Innovative Plastic Sorting and Reprocessing Solution

SCALE-UP partner CLEAN aims to develop a state-of-the-art plastic sorting and reprocessing plant. Close to half of the Danish municipalities are interested in delivering all their collected household waste plastic to this facility for 10 years. CLEAN has defined requirements related to the competencies in the applying consortia, and we are calling for innovative companies from the entire value chain to participate in this event.

Innovation and needs of our buyers

  • Waste collectors
  • Shredding technology
  • End users of recycled plastics
  • Technologies for sorting plastics like:
    • Optical and Near-Infrared (NIR) scanners
    • Robotics
    • Other technologies that can be used to separate plastics

An information meeting will be held on 13 March 2017 for everyone with an interest in the tender. In continuation of this meeting the Meet the Buyer event will take place on 14th March from 12.00 until 16.00.

Scale-Up is a collaboration with clean tech cluster from the Netherlands, England, Belgium, Denmark and Sweden, with its initiator the municipality of Rotterdam and Clean Tech Delta. Through this program, large companies will be helped to find more green products and buy them from innovators. At the same time, young and, yet, small companies are enabled to grow and to make the economy more sustainable. Scale-up is funded by the European Development Fund Interreg.

This event is a great opportunity for the companies to meet large buyers across Europe. Moreover, parallel to the M.T.B. events there will be a regular networking event, giving the start-ups the chance to meet companies in NL and Belgium.

Attending the events is free! Furthermore, the start-ups/ SMEs can reimburse 50% of their traveling costs up to €250.
